The commune Baligród and its attractions

The commune Baligród is situated at the main way in Bieszczady called "Wielka Pętla". The first mention of Baligród comes from 1552. By 1770 Baligród belonged to the Bales family. These areas have an interesting history. The Polish, Ukrainian and Jewish population used to live here. They took part in the First and Second World Wars. The Russian, Austrian, Ukrainian, Slovak and German soldiers fought in this area. That is why now, we can see many monuments, cemeteries and memory spaces. The list of such attractions has been done on the basis of the guests staying in Sosnowa Aleja.
