Stone-Pit

Walking along the natural-geologic route you can reach the viewpoint of Huczwice stone-pit. Standing in front of it you can admire the unexpected view of that 80 m high stone slope, the outcrop of the Carpathian flysch and the position of the unique pine trees. It is very interesting. You can see rock formations consisting of alternating layers of sandstone and shale. Nowadays, the quarried sandstone is used to build the roads. The days when people stop working in the stone-pit, you can see and hear the spontaneously falling down stones. The route is easy and comfortable to go, so we advised to stroll there. The time to go up - about 20 min. The time to go down - about 15 min.
