Boyko Culture Museum in Myczków

Boyko Culture Museum is located in Myczków village, near the small Bieszczady ring road. It has got a reach collection of the different exhibits of the Boykos, Russians, Ukrainians, Polish and Jews culture who were the former residents of this area. You can see there the utility items clothes, Boyko folk costumes and the equipment that belonged to the people who used to live here. Mr. Stanisław Drozd the keeper of the museum is the historian and the hothead. He has collected all the exhibits coming not only from Myczków but also from Polańczyk, Berezka, Wola Matiaszowa, Wołkowyja, Terka, Bukowiec, Bereźnica Wyżna and Solina. When he guides the visitors to the museum, he tells them very interesting stories. The Boykos are the heirs of the Ruthenian and Wallachian settlers who arrived here in 15th and 16th centuries. They occupied the area from Bystrzyca Sołowińska in the east to Wielki Dział in the west. There is also the local gallery of the Bieszczady creators where you can buy some souvenirs.
