Komańcza Monastery

The Monastery of Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in Komańcza was completed in 1931. In the beginning it was a guest house for the nuns to have a rest. In the years 1944 to 1950 the monastery chapel replaced the church of the local  people. The Primate Polish priest Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński was interned here from the 29th October 1955 to the 28th October 1956. The memory room was created in the monastery to remind his  stay here.
The tourists from Sosnowa Aleja informed about the special paths called "dróżki Prymasa" were walking along them seeing the stops on the road marked with boulders and descriptive tables.
