The dam in Myczkowce was built between 1955 and 1960 and it was put into use in 1961. The ground-concrete dam raises the water level in the river to a height of 15 meters and allows the hydroelectric power plant to reach a power of 8,5 MW. The formed lake is the equalizing tank for the pumped-storage power station in Solina. The surface of the water area in Myczkowce is 200 hectares and the capacity of it is about 10 millions cubic meters. The ability to walk along the crown of the dam raises its attractiveness.
Our tourists went there to visit the dam and its neighbourhood. They also could rent the pedalos, the kayaks and kayaking admire the beauty of Bieszczady nature.
